Roane County Tennessee Scholars

Roane County Tennessee Scholars is a workforce development program. Its goal is to increase the percentage of Tennessee high school graduates prepared for postsecondary education, the workforce, or the military. Tennessee Scholars is a four-year high school program that requires students to complete a rigorous course of study, receive a C or higher grade in every required class, have 95% or higher attendance, pass all end-of-course tests, have no out-of-school suspensions, and have a minimum of 60 hours of community service.

Each Tennessee Scholar receives a medallion and certificate in a county-wide awards ceremony, and their academic transcripts and graduation diplomas are adorned with the Tennessee Scholars Seal. The students who graduate as Tennessee Scholars are also eligible to receive unique Tennessee Scholar scholarships.
