The five middle schools in Roane County Schools recently received STEM Grant funding from the ORNL Federal Credit Union in a February 15, 2024 ceremony. The ORNL Credit Union contributed to the schools in coordination with and through the Roane County Schools Education Foundation.
Each of the five middle schools received $600 in grant funding to support their ongoing needs for funding for supplies used in hands-on STEM activities with students. One of the significant elements of STEM Education is the opportunity for students to test STEM disciplines through activities and experiments.
The STEM activities consume supplies that place our schools in a continuing need to replenish supply closets. If you or your employer can help with this ongoing need, contact Scott Bacon at tnpieconsulting@gmail.com to connect with the Education Foundation.
